New!
I have located a letter that Minerva wrote to Trujillo in 1953. In the letter, Minerva exalts Trujillo so that he will allow her to continue her legal studies. The letter is an English translation; I have been unable to locate the original letter in Spanish. (added 1/31)
I found a new historical article (linked below) that examines the contributions of female activists in the Dominican Republic during Trujillo's regime. The article discusses the Mirabal sisters' efforts, but it also notes how other Dominican women were instrumental in the resistance against Trujillo. (Content warning: the article discusses some of the tortures endured by female prisoners) (added 1/31)
